Kauppahalli (the red and yellow brick building) is a covered market built in 1888 and packed with artistically displayed things to eat, including cheeses from France and olives from Italy, lemon sole, plaice, char and other prized fish, silky gravlax, bear salami and reindeer kebabs. Plus discs of the much-loved crispbread and big loaves of rye bread.
